Artist Info
Nick Lacey was born in Midfield, Alabama (right outside of Birmingham) in 1951.

Even as a child he loved to build things and work with wood. His mom still has as one of her prized possessions a step stool made by Nick is grade school. Although he went on to become a successful project manager on large construction projects he never stopped working with wood.

After retiring after 20 years working construction on the Island of Bermuda he settled in Arab, Alabama and now lives his dream working with wood as his canvas. His scroll saw portraits and other works are amazing replicas of the originals. Each piece is crafted with care. Take a look at his gallery of photos he has recreated in wood and other pieces that will delight your senses. They are one of a kind and will be a wonderful addition to any home or office.

Nick lives in Arab on 10 peaceful acres with his wife, Susan and his step daughter Elizabeth. They also have two 4-legged children, Lady – a chow, shepherd mix and Shadow, a standard Schnauzer. He also has two grown children, Karee and Lee, married to Holli and two grandchildren, Chase and Kaleb.
